Cupping

Cupping is a Chinese Medicine modality in which cups are applied to the body. They stimulate the circulation of lymph and blood in the area applied. Cupping can help decrease muscle tension and knots, remove toxins from the tissue, and help the body fight off illness.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a therapy that uses a smooth edged tool to scrape the skin. This process increases circulation, moves stagnation, and allows new oxygen rich blood to flood the area. Gua Sha is commonly used for inflammation, muscle tension, and stimulating the immune system.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a method of heating specific acupuncture points on the body by burning an herb material close to the skin. It can be used to prevent diseases and maintain health by strengthening the organs and the immune system. It gently warms the meridians, promotes circulation, and eases muscle pain (especially pain that is worse with exposure to cold or dampness).
